A chic choice for any table, black horn is “quiet luxury” at its finest. Each piece is handcrafted and unique, carved from natural horn, so slight variations in shape and color are to be expected, ranging from deep, solid blacks to variations in natural earth tones.

The spoons are custom-engraved with The Dapper Swede’s ancestral coat of arms from 1674, highlighted in gold, which contrasts beautifully with the dark-colored horn.

A personal choice

Some choices whisper rather than shout. Black horn has a quiet confidence about it. Less expected than mother-of-pearl, yet every bit as traditional, it reflects a collector's eye for beauty rather than a desire to impress and has quietly become my personal choice.

Details & care

Material: Natural black buffalo horn
Origin: Handmade in Vietnam.
Care: Hand wash. Avoid abrasive cleaners. If looking dry, apply a neutral oil using a soft cloth.

Our horn is responsibly sourced as a byproduct of the buffalo industry that might otherwise go to waste.

Spoon vs Spreader

The functions of a caviar spoon and a caviar spreader overlap but remain distinct. Spreaders are often used to serve caviar from a communal tin to a personal plate, and a caviar spoon is used to eat it. This prevents a personal spoon from "double-dipping" into the communal tin.

Therefore, I usually set up each place setting with both a caviar spoon and a caviar spreader.
