This policy describes how The Dapper Swede handles personal information collected through thedapperswede.com and related order and customer-service communications.

Information we collect
When you register, shop, contact us or subscribe to updates, you may provide your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery addresses, account credentials, selected products, membership preferences and messages. We keep the order, payment-status, refund, consent and fulfillment records needed to provide these services.
Payments are processed through Stripe. We receive payment identifiers and status information, but this website does not store full card numbers or card security codes. Passwords are stored in a protected, one-way form rather than as readable passwords.
Our hosting and security systems process technical information such as IP addresses, requested pages, access times and errors to operate and protect the website. Please do not include card details or other unnecessary sensitive information in a contact-form message.
How we use information
We use information to manage your account, verify your email, help you recover access, process and deliver orders, administer memberships you choose, answer requests, prevent fraud, resolve disputes and maintain business and legal records.
If you subscribe to updates, we use your email for the communications you requested. You can unsubscribe using the link in a newsletter or contact us. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop necessary messages about an account, payment or existing order.
Service providers and other disclosures
We use Stripe for payments and billing, DigitalOcean for website hosting, Resend for website email delivery, and business email services to handle correspondence. Shipping and fulfillment providers receive the information needed to deliver your order. Our authorized staff and professional advisers may access information needed for their work.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to a valid legal request, protect people and the service, or carry out a business transfer with appropriate safeguards. Providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate.
We do not sell personal information collected through this website or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. This website does not contain advertising pixels or third-party analytics trackers.
Cookies, browser storage and video
An essential session cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days and is cleared when you sign out. Your shopping bag is stored in your browser until you change it or clear browser storage. If you sign in while checking out, the browser can remember the return page for up to 24 hours so you can continue after email verification. You can control cookies and storage through your browser; blocking essential cookies can prevent account features from working.
Pages with an embedded YouTube video connect to YouTube when the player loads. We use the youtube-nocookie.com player, but YouTube may still receive technical information such as your IP address and process information when you interact with or play the video. YouTube and Stripe apply their own privacy policies to their services.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including account services, order fulfillment, accounting, fraud prevention and legal obligations. The relevant period depends on the type of record, an ongoing customer relationship, an unresolved dispute and any required retention period. We review deletion requests against these needs; retained records are limited to the purposes that justify keeping them.
We use encrypted website connections, restricted administrative access and protected credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Limited backup copies may remain until they are replaced or expire, and retained backup data is not used for unrelated purposes.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can update the profile and address details available in your account. To request access, correction, a copy or deletion of your information, contact Concierge@TheDapperSwede.com. We may ask for information to verify your identity, and an authorized representative may contact us on your behalf with appropriate authority. We will explain any information we must retain and respond within the period required by applicable law.
Where applicable law gives you additional rights, including an opt-out or appeal right, you can contact us to exercise them. We do not penalize customers for exercising an applicable privacy right. This policy does not limit those rights.
Our services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can investigate and address it.
Updates to this policy
We will publish updates with a revised effective date and give additional notice when required. A policy update does not remove rights relating to information already collected.
